Wills and Stephanie first crossed paths over Presidents’ Day weekend in 2023 in Snowmass, Colorado. Stephanie was on a ski trip with her mom and sister Jackie, while Wills was there with a group of friends. After a long morning on the mountain, Stephanie and Jackie stopped by Base Camp Bar & Grill to warm up by the fire pit. There, they met two of Wills’s friends, who mentioned they’d be skiing Long Shot the next morning and thought Stephanie might enjoy meeting their friend, Wills.
The next day, Stephanie and Wills met outside the Elk Camp Gondola and headed down Long Shot together. What started as a spontaneous run turned into an easy, natural connection. That evening, they found themselves at Zane’s Tavern talking for hours and not wanting the night to end.
After the trip, Wills flew back to Dallas and Stephanie returned to New York City. They spent the next month keeping in touch over texts, which quickly turned into long phone calls, and eventually FaceTime. Stephanie had a few vacation days expiring in March and had always wanted to visit the Stockyards. She took a leap and planned a trip to Dallas, which turned into an entire weekend of plans. By the end of the trip, they officially began dating, and the long-distance chapter of their story began.
For the next two and a half years, their evenings were filled with FaceTime, countdowns to the next flight, and carefully planned itineraries for each visit—whether in Texas or New York—because they never wanted to waste a moment together.
In May 2025, just a week after Stephanie graduated with her MBA, Wills proposed at his family’s ranch — surrounded by wide-open Oklahoma skies and so much love. Shortly after, Stephanie made the move to Dallas, and life has felt even more like home ever since.
They are deeply grateful for the friends and family who have supported them along the way, and they cannot wait to celebrate with you on June 6, 2026!
